Sunil's wedding

Sunil's wedding at Katil, Mangalore on 14-Nov-2010 (Sunday)
Myself, Pramodh and Regis attended this wedding, this is how the trip to Sunil's marriage goes

Preparation:
The trip was planned 1 month before, Sunil booked onward and Return train tickets for 3 of us, we travelled on Friday 12th Nov from Bangalore to Mangalore (Kannur Express, Train # 6517) and returned back to Bangalore on 15th Nov (Yeshwantpur Express, Train # 6518).

Start of Journey from Office:
We planned in such a way that we would come packed to office, I parked my car in EC3 campus basement, Regis and Pramodh had packed the clothes in their backpack. We started as planned at 5:00PM, we boarded Majestic bus (Volvo) and reached Railway station around 7:15 PM.

Food in Train:
We were so excited about the trip, none of us planned packing food for night, we also assumed nice dinner will be served in train, but later we realized it was a bad planning.

Mangalore Package by Sunil:

Sunil has planned very well our entire in Mangalore. Nice hotel, Cab for roaming around, etc...we stayed in a nice hotel in Kavoor (Saptagiri International). Sunil picked us from Railway station and took us to hotel, we checked into the much refreshing AC room and got ready.
A cab was booked for whole day, we were picked up from hotel around 10:30 AM and we headed straight to Udupi. We went to Krishan matt in Udupi, had nice lunch after temple visit at Woodlands hotel and did some purchasing around... Cashew nut was the main purchase...

Some photos from Udupi Trip:

We came back from a hectic trip of Krishna temple, Shopping and Beach (Malpe). We reached Mangalore around 7:30 PM in the evening.

Visit to nice hotel for Dinner @ Mangalore:

We took an auto rickshaw to a near by hotel for dinner, the ambiance was excellent, the concept was that of a village dhaba. We ordered for some starters and I went for Whiskey. The kids (I mean Regis and Pramodh) ordered soft drink. Relaxed in the hotel with excellent food and company until 10:30 PM. Some photos from the hotel

The Big Day: Sunil's Wedding
We got picked from Hotel early morning around 8:30 AM on Sunday and we went to Katil (around 20 kms from Mangalore). We got a warm welcome from Sunil's family members and also we had our breakfast there in the hotel. We took some snaps of Sunil (just before marriage). One last look at the Bachelor Sunil

We all went to the marriage hall right behind the Katil temple by car, as soon as we entered the marriage hall, we were welcomed by a nice refreshing drink. Some photo of old friend Nagendra and Marriage
We had nice lunch at Sunil's wedding and then started back to the hotel room in Manglore.

Journey Back to Bangalore:
We did not make the same mistake twice, this time when we were returning back, we packed nice Biryani at the railway station for Dinner. We reached Bangalore around 7:30 AM on Monday. Pramodh took Sick leave that day, both Regis and me came to office. We shared some of the snacks we got from Mangalore with the team.

End of Story........

Trip to Jaladhama Resort

On 7th May (Friday) - I went to Jaladhama Resort in Talakadu (about 130 Kms from Bangalore) with entire team. It was fun!!!

We were 12 members all together and went by Tempo Traveller vehicle.

  • We started from Bangalore at 7:00 AM
  • Stopped by on the way at Kamath Lokaruchi hotel for sumptuous breakfast buffet
  • We started from Kamath around 8:45 AM, during the journey we played great game of dumb charades.
  • Reached Jaladhama resort around 10:00 AM
  • Made payment and then went on a tour of Jaladhama Resort on an electric car
  • We all settled down and the first activity was CRICKET, played 2 matches (for about 1.0 hours)
  • Later around 12:15 PM, we went to Swimming pool.
  • Had nice rounds of games inside the water – Swimming competition, Underwater competition, Throw ball and few members also had swimming classes (provided by few member from our team).
  • Fully dehydrated, we went to lunch around 2:00 PM. Most of us ordered Lime Juice to cope with the heat outside.
  • After lunch, we rested on the Hammock for about 30 to 40 minutes.
  • Around 4:00 PM, we all went to the River bank and took Rowing boat and Peddling boat, realized rowing was much easier than peddling.
  • Had great time on the boat, we were boating till 5:00 PM
  • Tired, we came back to Resort and had Snacks and Coffee/Tea, some of us ordered some cool drinks.
  • Around 5:30 PM, the dance floor was opened up with some great music, most of us had great fun dancing…
  • Danced for about 45 minutes. Packed our belongings and settled the bills for additional juice and soda and started back at around 6:30 PM
